Spirituals In Motion educational workshops and presentations are designed to teach and engage.  Participants are encouraged to develop a multifaceted understanding of the history & musicality of the American Negro Spiritual and its relevance in the 21st century.

Presentations and workshops are customized to the needs of the group.  Programming is available in a variety of formats from individual presentations to week long masterclasses & on-going workshops and can be tailored to any age group.

Spirituals In Motion's unique approach to facilitation, supports the participants in engaging in the creative process to express their own truth.  Whether creating their own song, improvising call & response, or developing a “coded” written work, Spirituals In Motion participants are challenged to tap into their creativity and express their unique voice to have a positive impact on themselves and their community.
